Dr. Jennifer McGough received a BA in Biology from Amherst College, Massachusetts, in 1997 and a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002. She completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Friendship Hopsital for Animals, Washington DC, in 2003 and has been practicing emergency medicine in Wilmington, DE ever since. She joined MES in 2008 and her professional focus is emergency and critical care medicine with a particular interest in trauma medicine and wound repair and management. Her first pet was a Golden Retriever named Duncan who will always be the best dog ever in her eyes. Jen met her husband, Paul, in vet school. He is also an emergency clinician at MES. They currently reside in Chester County with their 2 naughty beagles (Ernie and Bella), a Chihuahua (Pixie...who follows Jen everywhere), 2 cats (Little Man and Biggie), and 3 rabbits! She loves to spend her free time reading, watching movies and TV and cooking and baking.
